Hannah's Top 10

HANNAHS TOP 10 THINGS TO DO WHILE MOM ISN'T LOOKING.....
1 pull a chair to the kitchen counter and unload the dish rack
2 turn the computer in mom and dad's room off and on, off and on, off and on ( dad just LOVES this)
3 take whatever Rachel is holding and RUN
4 find the granola bars and bite through the wrappers
5 open the freeze and throw ice cubes everywhere
6 climb up next to the TV inside the entertainment center and growl at anyone who tries to mess with your chosen channel...
7 climb on top of the high chair and "surf" on the high chair table, even if its not clicked in, MOSTLY if its NOT clicked in!
8 steal the plunger from the bathroom and walk around the house, dragging it behind making the sound for poopy diaper
9 say " NO"
10 watch when someone isn't being careful about the door and make a break for it, try to get past Mr Martys house before being noticed

First Snow

October 27th ushered in some lake effect snow here in the great Northwoods. How exciting. We really enjoyed it. These pictures were from the morning, but by the afternoon there was enough for snowpants and sledding!
Fast forward to today, October 30. We played outside in short sleeves and wrote with side walk chalk on the driveway to prepare for Trick or Treaters tomorrow.

Getting ready for bed.....

To prepare your child for bed, calm down the feel of your home. Start with a bath, preferablly with Lavender Baby soap, to soothe their little body. Have cozy Jammies ready and waiting for them after towel drying and applying lotion. Read night time books like " Good night Moon" and " God Gave Us You". Following these guidelines will ensure a restful night for everyone on in the household......
REALITY CHECK
The Kotula's favorite thing to do before bed is listen to Superman, Spiderman and Batman sound tracks and play 007. We sneak around corners with our fire arms ready. Even Hannah points her pointer finger and and makes a shooting sound. Sometimes capes are involved. ROCK ON!!

A Star

Rachel was " the star" over Bethlehem at Cubbies last week. They are covering that part of Jesus's life right now. Needless to say we listen to a lot of Christmas music at home. I love it!!

The Dress

This is my favorite dress! Both my girls have worn it to pieces and still it looks great. Nan won't be able to wear it much more with winter coming, so it'll go off to Cousin Noel. Just had to take some pics! Rachel's picture is from November 2006 and Nan's is from October 2008. As you can see, we have a diva and an "outdoors" woman.

Dance Camp 2008

Today Rachel participated in Rhinelander High School's Dance Camp. At the end of the morning, they put on a show for the parents. I will unashamedly admit that I was the crazy parent taking to many pictures, way to close to the stage. But WHATEVER!! My baby was getting her groove on! She was the youngest one there, and held her own GO TEAM KOTULA!!!! She and the other girls will be preforming at half time at the Homecoming Football game this friday! AWESOME!

My girls and I

Picture Day

Today is picture day for our Miss Rachel. I like outside pictures so much more. So, we'll order a class photo, but nothing more. For those of you who want a print of this for your own, please let me know.

Silent Protest

Hannah has taken to launching her stuff out of her bed to try to stay awake. Even poor teddy got " voted off". As you can see, this method needs work...

Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy

Long Distance Running

Emotion can get you near the top, but that’s about it. Only devotion lets you experience a view so grand it takes your breath away.

Hebrews 12
12 -13So don't sit around on your hands! No more dragging your feet! Clear the path for long-distance runners so no one will trip and fall, so no one will step in a hole and sprain an ankle. Help each other out. And run for it!

28Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;
29for our God is a consuming fire

Weekend Memories

Bowling with Dad this weekend!
It was hilarious watching Rachel lug a bowling ball down to the lane and then shove it towards the pins! Hannah made it her mission to try to role herself down the lane towards the pins. Did you know that bowling lanes are SUPER slippery, not so good when chasing a 1 year old bent on destruction!

Day Off From School

A day off from school and for old friends to get together. Rachel's friends Alivia and Kathryn came over for the day today. We played basketball at the YMCA ( Alivia is a whiz at B Ball by the way), made puffy paint t shirts and went for a nature hike! What a great day!

Alivia points to her "big person" tooth making an appearance! Very cool.
