By the time afternoon rolled around it was 60 ( much better than the windy 37 from the park in the morning). Its SOOO fun to be able to go outside and play!

Passionate Purity
Passion and Purity are not two separate things. So often we separte them by saying I must be Pure so I will not be passionate. But what if instead of saying Passion and Purity we said " Passionate Purity" . What ifinstead of feeling like we are deprived and waiting for passion, we realize that passion lights a fire underPurity. True and Holy Passion begets Purity. Passion makes purity come alive and gives us focus, and reveals
to the world the glorious will of God when we give HIM our desires-our passions. To be passionate about something is to be consumed with thoughts of that person or thing. What if instead of
constantly saing "no", " I can't" , " I won't", "God won't let me" .....we chose to be passionate about
purity. When we are marked by our "no" or our "I won't" the world does not see love. Because in truth this
attitude is not motivated by love, it is motivated by law.
When I was a tween and teenager I was motivated by the law set down in my house. I wouldn't do certain things
and explain myself by saying " oh my mom won't let me do this". My actions were not motivated by love, they
were motivated by law. Now, my parents set those rules because of their Passionate Purity. It was only later
that my heart chose to be passionate also, to move out from under the law into the love of Christ!
When we choose Passionate Purity ( sexual purity, purity in our thoughts, purity in our actions, purity in our
motives) the world can't help by see the love as we glorify God with our lives! What if we let God be the
consuming fire that the scriptures say He is. What if we were passionate about Him, and not passionate about
"no", not passionate about the "can't" , not passionate about the rules. Passionate about purity because of
our consuming God!
1 Timothy 1:9:Knowing and understanding this: that the Law is not enacted for the righteous (the upright and just, who are
in right standing with God), but for the lawless and unruly, for the ungodly and sinful, for the irreverent
and profane, for those who strike and beat and [even] murder fathers and strike and beat and [even] murder
mothers, for manslayers.
Hebrews 12:29:for our God is a consuming fire.
Deuteronomy 4:24:For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
Micah 6:8:He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of youbut to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
The ultimate show of passion was Christ's sacrifice on the cross to pay our debt. The law said that he had
blasphemed God ( by claiming to be God's son, the Messiah), that he was moving in the power of Satan. For this
reason the law abiders sought to kill him. But it was God's passion for purity OUR PURITY that won out.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions;he was crushed for our iniquities;upon him was the chastisement
that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed
