Hunt for the Hodag

These two are just for you Mimi

This weekend the girls and I hunted for the six Hodags new to Rhinelander ( home of the Hodag). It was fun. We still have one more to find, but that will have to wait till another day. The Hodags were created by Rhinelander High Schoolers and then sold to businesses in the downtown. They really are pretty cool. I wonder if the Hodag by the chamber feels somehow...outdated now......

2 year old Birthday Bash!!

It was hilarious to see the kids play.... one moment they were content to just sit and read books, the next they were chasing each other having an all out war with the little ball, or just " swimming" in the little pool.

Highlights of the Big 02 Party were....play dough, little balls in a little pool ( without water, what you think i'm crazy...) and CAKE!!!

The Kotula Sisters SUPER STARS!!!

Hannah had her birthday party at the YMCA today....a room full of 2, 3 and 4 year olds.....its was energentic, ethusiastic, euphoric, and in the end.......everyone was about to melt into little 2, 3 and 4 year old puddles....the excitment was just overwhelming! It was a great time. Hannah got home and told Dada all about it....... " Balls!" "Dough Dough!" "Kids!"......all her favorite things.

Photos provided by R.H. Kotula photography

so....my daughter looks like my biggest little brother....

Yes, it is true. Those faces are Dane when he was 4 faces. If he had been allowed to use a camera my mom would have pictures exactly like this (boogies included). Alas, you have to rely on my sister and I to fill you in on Dane's life....and the MANY reasons why he wasn't allowed to touch the camera.....

A slow thaw

Later in April we had some really great warm days. I even filled the kiddie pool with water. The girls had a great time making mud.

Summer/Spring has had a hard time making its way to the Northwoods, we hard core ( and desperate) Mama's go to the park anyway. At least until all noses are running like faucets and we can't feel our hands anymore.
